Default Personal Account of Samprokshanam of Sri Srinivasa Perumal Kulasekhara Azhwar temple in Thiruvanjikalam

Dear Bhagavathas,
I was personally there to witness what all had been posted in the earlier mails
regarding this historical event.
Sri. U.Ve A. Krishnamachary swamy of Sri Vaishnava Sri told us that the history
of constructing a temple for an azhwar is being repeated after nearly 800 years.
ie after manavala mamunigals time. Hence we were were all a part of the history.
A temple with an architecture which you find in tamilnadu with pancharatra
agama.

The local crowd was overwhelmed by seeing our lord utsavamurthy so near to them.
decorated in a ananda sayanam with the two pirattis doing thiruvadi kainkaryam.
- The local crowd has always seen god smaller in size in the lights of a
thiruvilakku only.

The local crowd was also thrilled to have different types of prasadam which was
distributed to them on all the days

There was also a thadiaradhanam arranged for the local people the previous day
of the samprokshanam in which they had to their hearts content. The
thadhiaradhanm started at 11.00 AM and went on till 3.00 pm with for each pandhi
some 150 people had lunch.

On the eve of Samprokshanam day there was colorful display of fireworks lighting
the whole place.

The next day the ghosthi began at 6.30 AM and went on to clock precision. All
the credit should go to Thirukoshtiyor Madavan who conducted it in avery nice
and orderly manner.

As posted by Sriman Murali seshadri we were all surprised to see T. Madavan
healthy and running around to do kainkaryam to our lord.

Three elephants were brought decorated in a typical kerala style for the
occassion. Also we had Jandai vadhyam along with our traditional Melam

The samprokshanam took place at 9.50 AM and the after the samprokshanam the
utsavamurthies of lord along with Sree and Bhoo devis and Kulasekara Azhwar were
placed in their respective sanctom Sanctorium and the doors of the Moolavar were
closed.

After the samprokshanm the doors were opened by Our Swamy, His elder Brother
Sriman Raman Samy, and the builder Sriman Ramanujam Swamy and the place
reverberated with the shouts of Govindha Govindha Govindha Govindha.

Immediately the local crowd who were not allowed to enter the temple during the
samprokshanam were allowed first to have darshan of the lord and as usual as we
see in thirumala there was a heavy surge of people in such a small temple and we
had a heavy task of regulating the people to come in line.

One localite was heard saying that quote" Every year I make it a point to go to
thirupathi Now the lord has come so near to me It is as if Iam standing in front
of thiruvengadamudiyan" Unquote

After the local crowd darshan the grand Sattrumurai was held at 11. 45 AM for 45
minutes to one hour .

After the sattrumurai all the adhayapaka swamys were honoured by our swamy with
a sambhavanai.

At 3.00 PM we had the thirukalaya utsavam of Lord Srinivasa and the local crowd
was present in large numbers so witness the thirukalyana mahotsavam.

The samprokshanam and the thirukalyana utsavams was well attended by the Cochin
Devasawom Board people from president , commissioner etc and the local Dewaswom
board reprasentative. They were all honoured by H.H. Vadikesari Azhagiya
Manavala Jeeyar Swamy.

Our swamy dedicated this temple in the memory of Keerthi murthy Karapangadhu
Varadhacharya swamy and his four disciples

After the Thirukalayana utsavam there was thiruveedhi Purrapadu of lord along
with Nachiyars and Kulasekara azhwar.

With a very heavy heart and telling the local people that we have given our Lord
(our daughter) in marriage to their Son and requested them to take care of our
perumal ver well. we left the place

The anubhavam is still lingring in our minds and the moment we think of our lord
our eyes get moistened as though we have left him there in the hands of Dewaswom
Board.
But we also know that our lord knows how to take care of himself and we can wish
that this is first step in bringing the kerala crowd also to thirumala else the
keep wandering into some other hills

I just wanted to share my anubhavam with all the people in our group
Kindly pardon me if there are any mistakes in my posting
I remain

Srimathe ramanujaya Namaha

Dear Sri Srikanth,

Thanks a lot for such a great writeup on the wonderful experience you had.
Adiyen couldn't resist tears rolling down my cheeks on reading your following
lines:
With a very heavy heart and telling the local people that we have given our Lord
(our daughter) in marriage to their Son and requested them to take care of our
perumal ver well. we left the place The anubhavam is still lingring in our

We were not blessed enough to be there during the samprokshanam and be part of
the history. But azhvar and perumal gave us a divine EkAntha darshan when we
visited the divine place this weekend. It was really a very great amazing
experience to witness a temple in Kerala built in TN temple style following
Pancharatra Agama. Truely there is some attraction in the temple as we didn't
feel like leaving the place at all.
