It is indeed my purvajanma punya that I am able to be part of this group
and have the privilege of this question being answered by His Holiness
Himself:

Q) In our home mandiram, the Gods face East. But when I do Sandya in the
morning I have to face East, which means I have to show my back to the
gods behind me. So I face North and do Sandhya. But again, I cannot say
"prachaidishai namah" facing north, and all other corners (directions)
get messed up as we go on to say Dakshinaye namah, Prachitye namah etc.
So I correct my posture to the East when I start circumambulating during
the Sandhya. Is there a better way to do the circummambulation?
