Sri Sudarshan Swamin could not have been more truthful
when he says tht it is we people that have contributed
to what Tirumala is today.

I have heard from my parents and grandparents as to
how Tirupati/Tirumala used to be in those days and
verily it seems it used to be paradise on earth. No
wonder Bhagawan came down to Tiruvenkatam forsaking
SriVaikuntam as it is said in the Suprabhatham: "Sree
Vaikunta Viraktaya Swamipushkarinipathe."

I remember the last time that we had been to
Tiruvenkatam, I was reciting Vishnu Sahasranamam
making good use of the time we had to wait in the
queue complex. But the people that I had been with
were much engrossed in mundane chatter and in fact,
sometimes trying to distract me from my sadhana, which
is something that is absolutely deplorable.

I do not know if anything can be done now to restore
the lost magic of the kshetram. Only Bhagawan has to
restore His favorite kshetram to its past beauty.

People are always clumsy, at best, in their attitudes. However, it is the
responsibility of the authorities to keep the sanctity of Thirumali in
tact!
