Dearest Srivaishnavas,

You have started getting apprehension of suffering the
fruits of your pApams [sins]. You have mistakenly
thought the fruits of your puNyas as that of your sins
as well. I would now arrange for you, Alavandhar to
live here happily based on all your puNyas and would
not have any suffering in this moola prakrathi (cosmic
universe- matter). Be happy here. Alavandhar responds:
I do not desire for that. Not only did I ask for
removal of suffering and hurdles. Also not the desire
for worldly and material pleasures. I want the one
that I desire for… i.e. You. I am not desirous of even
the kaivalya anubhavam (enjoyment of jeevathman
himself) – Swamy Alavandhar explains the same in next
17 subsequent slokas. Thus one can get clear
understanding that Prapatti [self-surrender] is the
alternate for Bhakti yoga [after karma/jnana yoga].
Alavandhar here thus declares his intense desire for
that fruit to see Him..

vilaasa vikraantha paraa varaalayam
namasyadaartthi kshapaNE kruthakshaNam |
dhanam madheeyam thava paadha pankajam
kadhaa nu saakshaaNi karavaaNi chakshushaa ||

when will I see with my naked eyes, Your most
beautiful Divine Lotus Feet, which is my most valuable
dearest treasure, that effortlessly measured the whole
Universe spanning everything; and which is ready to
destroy the samsaaric affliction and sufferings of
those who surrender and submit themselves at those
feet?

Effortlessly the feet measured the whole Universe and
touched everything in the Universe- desiring of
everything. When the feet see someone bowing down to
the same, it [the feet] removes his worries and
sorrows immediately. Such wonderful divine red lotus
beautiful feet of yours – is my treasure; my pleasure;
My kula dhanam (ancestral property); You are my kula
nAthan; Master of my ancestors. But I am not able to
see and enjoy my dhanam. Why? Everyone enjoyed seeing
the Thrivikrama avathAram.- when you took the huge
avathAram measuring the Univesre- [NammAzhwAr says:
kaanmeergaL ulagattheer.. enRu kaN mugappE nimirndha]
But having been born only now- how can I enjoy and
see? I can only enjoy the same in Paramapadham. When I
will I do that? Please bless me. There my dharma
bhootha jnAnam will expand completely in fullest
expanse form which would like my eyesight.

But if I am blessed by Yourself to enjoy seeing You
here itself, it would my bhAgyam. I want that alone
and am desirous of that. Are you going to take once
more Thrivikrama avathAram. But You may bless me
inside my mind perhaps. But that itself is not
adequate. I want You here in outside world as well to
be seen and enjoyed. Please bless me with Your divine
dhivya mangaLa vigraham.
