Dear Family,

Why Cuba? Maybe because many of us prepare to visit

Cuba soon and wondered with love if we/they can give

the Realization there and if it was done before. Below

you have more answers than questions. Please, listen

to Anna, USA and grant you bandhans and attention and

if you feel so, join Taneli, Finland in his wonderful

sahaj initiative.. that yes, I feel also that comes

from Virata's desire.

Yours,

Ioana

Dear Yogis, let us start to put attention on Cuba and

Castro. Let us help Taneli with our vibrations and our

attention and bandhans. Taneli is a Finnish Yogi who

Re: Fwd: Invitation to join the cubanspirit

group

At the end you will have a little letter i wrote to

the group. Al Ganesh told me in summer in Cabella that

Sri Mataji has said that the revolutionary leader of

Latin America Che Guevara was a realised soul and that

Castro is not a bad man but he has gone wrong from his

original aim. If a yogini felt coolness from him it

fits the picture. Personally I don't feel vibrations

of other people in my fingers yet but i do love Cubans

so much...

After the revolution of Cuba ended -59 and Batista was

conquered, Castro was having his first public speech

and they let some white pigeons free. One of them

landed on Fidel Castro's shoulder. After that more

pigeons followed and landed on Castro's sholder. The

air was filled with shouts " Fidel, Fidel, Fidel...! "

Afro-Catholics experienced this as a great mirracle.

Castro was related to Obatala, God of peace and

wisdom, the one who purifies and gives emancipation to

the world. On the contrary Batista was related to

Shango, god of war, fire and dance. Thus Shango had

danced his final dances of war.

I don't know very much about the political situation.

But they say that it's the rich American-Cubans that

are keeping the embargo / trading blockage up.

American-Cubans are hoping to get their lands and

property back if the system breaks. Most of the

Americans are said to be against the embargo. Many

Cubans are desperate with the economical situation of

Cuba but many believe and trust in Castro as a person

even though they would not accept his methods. He has

jailed some people who are agaist the system. Still

many Cubans live rather in this kind of situation than

under US. rule as many other Center-American state.

Since -90's Cuba has opened it's doors to tourism more

and more witch is the main income.

The letter:

Love for Cuba

My interest in Cuba was awakened when I visited Cuba

very spontaneously for two weeks, one and a half years

ago. Earlier, I had no idea about Cuba or the

situation there. I was really overwhelmed there by the

rhythms and colours, beauty of the landscape and the

warmth of the Cubanos. Slowly, I started to understand

how much it differed from the surroundings where I

lived. My love for them grew stronger when I saw the

difficulties that they were facing.

They have no freedom of speech or free journalism.

Average income is about 20$ a month. Most Cubans I met

were always a little hungry. But still they were

smiling and enjoying life. Even some officers, dressed

in uniforms, were dancing. People were so beautiful

with all the colours between black and white - racism

was at a minimum. Some people consider them the most

beautiful people in the world. Maybe the lack of

material things makes them so beautiful. Left alone,

they laugh bravely at American nonsense.

But things are changing. Cubans are getting

frustrated, Castro is getting old and America is

putting more pressure on them. No one knows what will

happen in the near future. Eventually, materialism

will come. Cubans are getting hungrier from watching

the increasing amount of rich tourists to their

island. They are selling their chastity and dignity

with an image of dollars in their eyes. Their idealism

is dying - the same idealism with which they fought

the demon Batista and won human rights for black

people; the same idealism through which they got free

education and health care which they used to be proud

of. They want to get out of the prison island by

marrying anyone with a foreign passport.

Many years ago someone plead with Sri Mataji to come

to Cuba. She answered that when the time is right She

will come. I feel the time is now. The cool vibrations

are blowing all over the Caribbean. Cubans have some

very beautiful and deep qualities straight from Sri

Ganesha. They recognise the idealism of Gandhi and

Martin Luther King as they have a very strong

collective history. Che Guevara who fought the demon

Batista was a realised soul. And Castro is not a bad

person, as Sri Mataji has said, but he has gone astray

from the original aim. Gregoire even shook hands with

Castro recently. Can it get more symbolic for us?

Many old West African deities or orishas that came

with the slavetrade from Benin and Nigeria resides in

Cuba. Olorun is the God and the Creator who is the

source of the creative energy, Ashe. The most

important orisha Eleggua is said to be child-like and

He is always worshipped first. As He owns the roads He

also removes all the obstacles. He is believed to open

the doors and He stands at the crossroad of man and

his God and thus owns one's destiny. His colour is red

and He is the repository of Ashe that has created the

whole universe. Oshun is the Goddess of sweet waters,

lakes, brooks and rivers. Being the Goddess of

marriages She gives love and is sweet like honey. She

is also called Iyalode, the great queen. People

approach her in money matters. She is associated with

a peacock and a vulture. And Yemaya is the Sea Goddess

and mother of all. She is called Yeye Omo Eja that

means mother whose children are fish to reflect that

Her children are uncountable. Her number is seven for

seven seas and She wears seven skirts of blue and

white. She is the queen with deep and unknowable

secrets.

Through Cuba its possible to enlighten old West

African deities as many people follow the animist

religion, Santeria. The correspondence with orishas

and Sahaj deities are sometimes quite clear: Eleggua

is Sri Ganesha and Ashe is Sri Adi Shakti or Sri

Kundalini whereas Oshun would possibly be Sri Laksmi

and Yemaya, Sri Mahalaksmi. There is no doubt that

there has been pure knowledge in West Africa through

some saint or incarnation or at least a clear image of

archetypes through the collective awareness. They even

use coconuts for cleaning. Still people have gone

wrong without the real connection as they worship dead

spirits of ancestors. People come from all over Africa

to Cuba to worship those deities.

So far, as far as I have understood, many yogis have

visited Cuba for holidays or some kind of work. Some

Cubans have got realisation in a spontaneous manner

but nothing specific has been done for public

programmes or to establish Sahaja Yoga there properly.

Cuba is waiting for us, but for how long.

and Castro, what do you think about his vibrations
