Personally, I would not recommend that anyone look to Amma's swamis,
either; only to Amma herself.

For realised souls Planets become neutral
and loose significance on all levels except
panchtattwa, the body-capsule which is used
by Soul for stay in the world at physical level.
That is why higher souls after realization
are left with minor karm bhandan that is just
sufficient to anchor them in physical body.
Planets are indicators of fructification of karma
so Mary Ann is right.Amma is beyond therefore
what amma said is true for her and others provided
the other achieves that level by sadhana.

One thing I have read that Amma said about "the planets" is that
horoscope is not set in stone, that sadhana can change it. I don't
know how that relates to worshiping planets, but I wanted to offer it

As a sometime student of Jyotisha (Vedic astrology),
what I like about it is the attitude that negative
planetary aspects can be "remedied" -- the worship of
the planets is to ask them to be less troublesome.
(Gee, I wish I had placated Mercury while it was
retrograde recently -- maybe my computer modem might
not have shorted out!)

In the Puranas, even the Devas are concerned about
appeasing the planets, how much more so we who are
still incarnated in bodies formed of flesh?

I need all blessings from you guys *wahhhhhhhhhh* my Saturn period ends in the
first week of October and mercury period(17 years) starts. I hope saturn does
