Here is Sonia in Hindi. You can see this many times in the Indian newspapers, because of Sonia Gandhi.

Asha / aashaa (both long a) is a feminine word. It means hope.
The secondary meaning is wish, desire. In philosophical sense asha means false hope, false expectation.

Asha is also a girl's name. See attachment for writing in Devanagari.
