Mercury is called Paaraa in Hindi and when this liquid mercury is
consecrated and solidified, it is called Paarad. Ancient texts call

overcome weakness and fragility, thus attaining vigour and youth. In
real sense one can completely rejuvenate the body and attain a life
filled with happiness, prosperity and comfort, all of which are the
real basis of a true human life and all this is possible only

diseases can be cured, old age can be transformed into eternal
youth. Extraordinary beauty can be gained and in fact, the whole
body can be completely transformed into a perfect healthy, disease-
free and a well-moulded physique. And, all this can be achieved, the
need is but to learn and master this science that can be mastered
only under the proper guidance of a competent Guru.

Once the famous Indian Sage and Seer Jagadguru Bhagwatpaad
Shankaracharya said: "Only if I have three or four fully devoted
disciples, then through Paraad Vigyan, I can vanquish poverty from
the whole world."

Other Forms of Mercury

According to the "Ayurved Samhita", there are four types of Paarad
or Mercury and it is considered that the Silver/White coloured
mercury is of Brahmin class, Red coloured mercury of Kshatriya
class, Yellow coloured mercury of Vaishya class and Black coloured
mercury of Shruda class.

Silver/White mercury helps in sanctifying the body and making it
strong, Red mercury is capable of transforming copper into gold,
Yellow coloured mercury removes all diseases and endows one with
good health and Black coloured mercury is used in other processes or
Khechar Prayogs, like flying in the sky.

The boon of Darshan of Paarad

It has been said in "Ras Chintamanni" that just the Darshan or a
glimpse of Paarad (sanctified-mercury) can acquire all the piousness
acquired by seeing all the Shivalings and Shiva temples in the world.

The boon of touching Paarad

"Ras Chintamanni" expounds the boons obtained on touching Paarad
(Samskarised mercury).

Chandanaguru Karpoorkumkumantragato Rasah
Murchhitah Shivapooja Sa Shivsannidhyasiddhye.

Means: The blessings and rewards obtained on worshipping Lord Shiva
are obtained on merely touching Paarad. And if one touches Paarad
(pure mercury) daily, then one surely achieves the realisation of
Lord Shiva.

The boon of consuming Paarad

"Rasraaj Samuchhay" says that eating the samskarised and sanctified
mercury is beneficial for a person's life in all respects.

Bhakshannatparmeshani Hanti Paptrayam Rasah
Durlabham Brahmavishnavaayeih Prapayate Paramam Padam.

Means: If mercury is consecrated and purified through Samskars and
consumed, then that person becomes mentally strong. Whatever he says
happens and his body becomes free from all diseases. If water
offered on such Paarad is consumed, then all the sins of that person
are cleansed and such a person becomes famous and God-like among all
humans.

The boon of meditating on Paarad

The text "Rasendrasaaar Sangrah" says about meditating on Paraad
Shivaling or just Paarad.

Hridyog Karnnikantahstham Rsendram Parmeshwari
Smaran Vimuchayate Papeih Sadhyo Janmantrarjiteih.

Means: If a person has a glimpse of Paraad Shivaling (an epithet of
Lord Shiva) or just meditates on it with devotion, then his sins of
several births are conquered and he becomes virtuous.

The boons of worshipping Paarad

Several hundred scriptures have spoken about the worship of Paarad
Shivaling which stated that the person who keeps a Paarad Shivaling
in his house and worships it daily, obtains all the boons acquired
by worshipping all the Shivalings in this world –
Swayam Bhulingasahastreiryatfalam Samyag Archanat
Tatfalam Kotigunnitam Raslingarchanadbhavet

It has been said about Paarad Shivaling (Shivaling of mercury)
in "Ras Ratnakar" that viewing this Shivaling means attaining
fulfilment and by it, the sins of killing even a Brahmin are freed
from blame. By touching this Shivaling, the sins of killing a cow
are pardoned and if a person drinks the water offered on this
Shivaling, then all his worries, diseases are vanquished. He also
gains completeness in life.

Health through Paarad Therapy

Paarad has a special significance in Ayurveda and it is also very
useful in controlling various diseases like High Blood Pressure and
Asthma.

Paarad Amrit Cups are prepared by Ayurvedic methods as written in
ancient scriptures and is 99% pure mercury and mixed with rare
herbs. Drinking milk in Paarad Amrit Cups purifies the human body.
Amrit cups makes a person free from diseases such as diabetes,
prevention of diseases, control of asthma and increase in Sex Power.
It not only increases the energy levels but also improves the
vitality.

Paarad Beads are also very powerful cure of diabetes, blood pressure
and heart diseases. The bead or rosary of Paarad beads should be
worn around the neck or waist.

Solid Mercury ball (Paarad ball[s]) should be threaded and be worn
around the neck in the form of locket in order to get protection
from evil spirits. It is the most effective methods to keep evil
spirits away. It is recommended that every house should keep a
Paaradeshwar figurine to keep all evil eyes away from them. Paarad

200ml of raw milk and it should be taken at night before sleeping.
In order to get rid of all diseases, the aforementioned milk should
be continuously taken for a minimum of 41 days and a maximum of 3
months without break.

If one has continuous pain on the surface of the body, the Paarad
balls should be fixed with an adhesive plaster on that part of the
body in order for the affected skin to touch the Paarad balls at
night while sleeping or during daytime. The Paarad balls should be
kept on the body-skin until the pain is completely cured. The Paarad
balls should be kept in pure Ghee or oil for 24 hours and it should
be massaged on any part of the body for the cure of pain. The Ghee
or oil must be cool.

For any digestive problems, constipation, gas in stomach, headache,
etc., the Paraad balls should be kept at the naval point for 15-20
minutes daily for recovery.
