Manuj sent me query about horoscope matching and about guna matching
(27 points etc). Of course it interests all of us who intend to marry.

I am just giving question answers a got when I ran a search in

data are available, try not to take the short cut.

The same is true for stuff like gandanta births, moolas and nadis
etc. If you must take a shortcut then focus on the rashi, navamsha,
kalatrakaraka and venus.

The problem is not with the process of matching but one due to
limited matching. The koota nirnaya are based on the natal moon and
is but one factor to be considered. There are other factors in
horoscopes which obviously have a say in this matter. Since you know
the couple, why not do reverse engineering for your learning. See if
the areas that are afflicted in their marriage are reflected in their
charts. Then see if those planets etc are related with marriage or in
navamsha. You would be doing the reverse of the process that one
should be doing in a pre-nuptial match.
