Thanks a lot for your love and support.
Indeed it will be an honor for me to participate
actively though for 1 and half months i shall be busy
preparing for my board exams. Ashishji, your wish
surely boosted up my confidence.
I had not thought of the consequences of putting
entire discourses on web. Thanks Birendraji for
letting me know. It would mean a potential threat to
charity organizations. Lets take it in a positive
sense, if we put important clippings of sadhgurudev's
discourses on the web, the listener would be tempted
to listen more resulting in more sale of cassettes.
Similar would be the case with books and videos.
Important discourses must be kept in written form.
There is no need to stick to 30 mb space and formulate
our plans according to web space. We can establish new
webpages from other services( freeservers, namezero,
homestead etc) and establish links from the main page.
That would lead to easy and more effective planning.
As to put video clippings on the site, i haven't done
myself yet. But there are new codecs and compression
tools like mpeg-layer4 and div-x which can compress
video's to desirable size. For example approx 4 mins
of video with good quality sound comes around 7 mb. A
film from a handy cam can be transferred to a computer
through firewire port and processed with available
programs. Let these points be taken into consideration
while putting videos so as to provide fast, good and
effective results.
