Default Hearing loss ..... need help

Hello everyone,

I'll really appreciate an advice, if anyone knows something about it,

I started loosing my left ear a couple of years ago and also the ability to listen
high sound frequencies perceiving distorted sounds, but even though my right ear was fine,
I was able to play the guitar and enjoy the richness of music.
One week ago I had a sudden hearing loss, I woke up one morning without being able to listen well, and after a while I notice the loss of some frequencies, .... listenig music out of tune, or voices in the phone, like if it was another person.

Already went to see an ENT and I know that wearing hearing aids, I'll be able to listen better,
but my question is ¿¿ this hearing devices are programmable to let me listen the lost
frequencies? ? .... I'm tired of surfing the internet, and I don't find a clear answer, I already schechuled an appointment to see an audiologist, ... but I like to hear if any of you has dealed with a similar experience (I hope not )

I'm 53 , and I've been playing classical guitar since I was 18, .... I´m feeling that a precious treasure inside me it has been snatched.

I'll appreciate any comments,

Sat Nam,

Carlos

Hi Carlos, Ear and audition are strongly related with the health of kidneys
and urinary bladder, so find help in this sense will be good for you.

Hi Carlos,
Did You lose the sensibility of your left ear?
If yes, so you must visit your doctor to verify the possibility of leprosy
or radioactivity. Better add that the treatment for leprosy is rather easy
nowadays, alghough you need to treat it as soon as possible.
did It happen before you start to use cell phone?

Please send me information about the evolution of it.
Hope you get cured soon

Carlos,

Someone else mentioned that the ear is related to the kidney. I
would find a set that works on the kidneys. The half spinal twist is
specific to the kidney. I would find a set with that exercise. Also,
find a set with the exercise standing up, arms to the sides, put one
arm over the headand bend to the left and keep doing it side to side.
I call this the pendulum. There are meditations for the ears also.
One is getting in Hero pose. Put left hand by ear like one would do
when they cannot hear and chant long "maaa".

Dear Carlos,

Definitely see a good doctor. Also take advantage of this time to tune into and even perfect your inner listening. If you view this as an opportunity to listen within, you may discover some capacities that you didn't know you have. Often when we use our challenges as cues to learn new lessons, we find solutions to our physical problems.

Blessings,

Gururattana

First let me say that I have a hearing loss. I am functionally deaf on
my right side. This is the result of a childhood disease or infection
called mastoiditis which resulted in a mastoidectomy, a removal of
most of the mastoid bone behind the ear and all of the attendant
"hearing apparatus." I can hear very low sounds because they vibrate
at a low rate.
As a result of that, my left ear began to deteriorate at a slow rate
due to the increased work load (pre-3HO, in the 60s and 70s I listened
to a lot of LOUD rock and roll) and now I wear a hearing aid in my
left ear. These are very sophisticated devices costing anywhere from
$700 to over $2000. You can probably find some device to help in your
particular case if needed.
>From that prospective let me say that you should seek whatever medical

advice is available and consider strongly whatever the doctor or
doctors say.
The one thing you can do yogically is a stretch. Normally we sit with
one leg extended and the other either flat against the opposite thigh
or on top of it. Then we'll relax the upper body down towards the knee
of the extended leg. (That's the normal stretch.) If you can, use this
variation: as you stretch out over the right leg, gently turn the head
so the left ear is atop or above the kneecap. If you can't do it at
first keep up GENTLY stretching until you can. Do this on the other
side as well (right ear above left kneecap) Once again, do all of this
gently and without force. This exercise will stretch and tone nerves
and attendant meridians stimulating the hearing centers.
My hearing loss was mechanical and so could not be healed since I did
not have the appropriate hardware in my head. It had been removed in
the mastoidectomy.
I know how serious this must be for a musician. This may be a case of
God's will cutting through our desires. This may be happening for some
higher purpose. Personally I am forced to pay attention a lot more
carefully to people than before. Perhaps, as a child or in a past life
I might have been an uncaring or uncompassionate person, which is of
course all guesswork. Anyway, everything happens for a reason ... do
the best you can to overcome the problem but there are certain things
we may just have to accept. Sat Nam.

I've been thinking these days on how everything is impermanent, it really has shaked me, and I agree with you, many facts in life have a hidden purpose.
I saw the ENT this morning, and told me that in case I don't get some reversal of the sudden hearing loss, after completing the treatment, digital hearing aids would be the best option to be able to listen some or all the frequencies lost. Even though these devices will never be as one´s ear.
So for now what I only have besides the medicine, is Hope.

Sat Nam,
Carlos
