Dear Satiya,
Sorry for the loss of your husband.

I can relate to starting and stopping yoga because I have been doing
that too.
I have the same book you mentioned and it is a great book.
Perhaps some more experienced yogi will reply with some yoga exercise
specifically for concentration, but my experience -
any yoga helps me concentrate and helps me avoid depression.

I think it is important to be consistent (at least as consistent as
possible!) and in order to do that, to pick something you can stick
with. For me I do the Kriya for Elevation. It is pretty basic and not
'hard', ie not any very difficult positions. But very powerful!

If you want more info about that e-mail me off-line and I'll see if I
can find this set online, or someone else in this group might know
where you can find it. I don't remember if it is in Kaur's book.

and, consider comitting to a set for 40 days- you could join my
virtual group, and thus we could motivate and encourage each other.

in any case, good luck, and cherdi chala (keep up).

sat nam,
kartar kaur

Dear Satiya:

The response from Kartar Kaur is great! The Kriya for elevation is my
favorite I try to teach that one first to new students as it contains most
elements people need to experience in Kundalini Yoga.

It is available in different books for instance the Flow of Eternal Power by
Shakti Parwha Kaur

http://www.yogatech.com/go/htmlos.cg...77324827220217

which is a great book for beginners!
