Re: The natural breath
Sat Nam dear sister,
I was very moved by the post that you wrote....
during a crisis we are often advised to focus on our
breath...& this paragraph that I found in our teachers
manual takes this thought yet one step further, as it
addresses our "normal breath"...
In natural breathing, the “Naval Point” moves out on
the inhale and in on the exhale.
We use the inhale to make ourselves wider, and the
exhale to make ourselves longer.
It is common not to have enough lateral motion of the
rib cage when we inhale. Instead we tend to move
everything up and down. This can lead to congestion of
the subtle flow of energy and may result in "stuck
emotions"....learn how to inhale up and out,
expansively lifting the chest, and how to exhale
smoothly and completely feeling each breath with
devotion in our heart and soul....
hope this helps ( :
in loving kindness
Sat Nam
