Default Amino Acid Suppl. before Sadhana? - 09-04-2001, 05:22 PM

Does anyone has any experience about taking amino
acids suppl. before sadhana?

I´m 90% vegetarian, and I've been doing some aerobic
exercise for 15 to 20 mins. as a warmup before daily
sadhana; and a friend was suggesting me to take some
amino acid suppl. to get strength and endurance.

Any comments?

Sat Nam,

Carlos

Sat Nam Roberto:

I agree with you ,but they live in their natural
environment, so far away from what humans do, full of
stress, poluted cities, deficient feeding, etc.

Any way, I see the intake of supplements as a little
push to get back on the way sooner; I've felt already
that as soon as I keep on the practice of KY, I'll
access my own resources, and won't need an extra aid
as I´m doing now.

Have a great day :-)

Dear Carlos,

I consider the supplements I take food that I need for my body. In an ideal
world we would get most of our nutrition from our food but this is not the
case. Just do what you need to do to take care of yourself and nurture your
body. KY is fabulous but it does not supply nutrients to the body, it uses
them.

Dear Gururattan:

The question about amino acids, it's to know if there
are any side effects on using them.
I get tired very soon during sadhana , I don´t know if
it is because I'm not in a good shape, or because of
the energy work that KY is doing in my body.
But I've felt that I need an extra aid on supplements
besides the food.
To taste myself without suppls. I've quited them for a
couple of weeks, and I feel better taking them.
I'm 48 ys. old, and it's not the same to start when
you're 25 or 30.

I'm working on the navel point with breath of fire,
stretch pose, and sat kriya basiclly, and it's been
quite a challenge for me, because after reading lesson
# 7 http://www.kundaliniyoga.org/kyt07.html
the lights turned on, about where I should work.
The thing about getting tired very soon, I feel my
body it's telling that I'm working on the right way.
The main thing about this, is that I'm becoming to
feel younger and in a better mood than I used to, and
this is a very precious gift.

Many Blessings to you and the whole group,

Carlos

Sat Nam!

I just thought I would mention that most food these days is nutritionally
deficient. Organic is definitely the way to go if you are looking for good
nutrition from food. I also find a multivitamin to be helpful, especially
since I'm still nursing my daughter. We use Braggs liquid aminos instead of
soy sauce and sometimes instead of salt. It tastes very good, and I just
think of it as a healthy food instead of a supplement because of the way we
use it. But, I don't believe in some quick fix supplement that solves all
of one's nutrition problems. It is really the way you live your life,
including eating, spiritual practices, how to take care of yourself all
around, really that keeps you nourished.

Love Always,

and we appreciate the foods we eat now. they are so vibrant beeming with
substance.
