Pujya Sri Swamiji in Trinidad

Sri Swamiji traveled through Delhi, London and arrived in Trinidad on the 6th
March 2003 evening at 5 PM. Devotees had gathered in Port of Spain’s Piarco
airport to welcome Sadgurudeva. After sitting for a while in the lounge, Sri
Swamiji drove to Dattatreya Yoga Center in Carapichaima. Enroute, Sri Swamiji
listened to the FM Station 103’s message welcoming Sri Swamiji to Trinidad. The
announcer mentioned of Sri Swamiji’s short visit to Trinidad and the keen and
eager devotees waiting for Sri Swamiji. The Bhajan “Jaya Jaya Bhuvi Divi was
played.

Devotees waited at the entrance gate to receive Sri Swamiji. They were chanting
Bhajans and clapping. A drummer played at the far end. Sporting a smile, Sri
Swamiji went to the prayer hall and had Darshan of the idols kept in a temporary
enclosure as the temples are being newly built. Sri Ramesh Maharaj gave a
welcome speech and thanked Sri Swamiji for visiting them.

Sri Swamiji later spoke and said that the miracles performed by Trinidad
devotees were better than the ones performed by Swamiji. He said he was
surprised and happy at the pace of developments. Urging devotees not to forget
devotion in these frenzied times, Sri Swamiji retired.
