Qualities of the Three Gunas
Jaya Guru Datta,
Here is today's saying:
“Acuity of sense organs and optimal functioning of the mind indicate that at
that point of time, Satva Guna is predominant.
Not being satisfied with one's earnings and always desiring for more
(greediness) and consequently indulging in fresh actions all the time,
increasing one's wown work load, wanting to lay hands on everything and being
agitated - all these occur when Rajas is predominant.
Losing the power of discrimination when it is most needed and not acting even if
the faculty of discrimination shows the path, forgetting it even after the
action has been initiated, not understanding what one's duty is - all these
manifest when Tamas is dominating."
