Can husband be present during birth of his child ?????

My godbrother´s wife is pregnant and will give birth to a child during the
next two month.
He heard the "Rumour" and i heard it also , that "somewhere" in the
Shastras it is said, that when the husband is together with his wife,
while she is giving birth to the child ,he will loose 7 years of his life.
I know it´s sound a little strange, but would someone be so kind and give
us a clear information if this is right or wrong.Best with sastric pramana
if it is right.
Can the husband be together with his wife and assist her while she´s
giving birth to the child or not??? Did Srila Prabhupada say anything
about this ???
