I'll wait to hear what others have to say, but it seems at first glance -- in
spite of Srila Prabhupada's famous "kick out the west" quote -- that humanure
can only be permitted when it follows very strict standards of temperature
monitoring and timed composting that guarantee that pathogens are destroyed.
It's like cooking with fire. That may be ideal -- but if you let your sari
drag
across the flame, you can kill yourself. It might be a good idea -- but unless
proper safety practices are employed, it may be fatal. It should be done, but
only when proper precautions are in place.
