-------------------

It is better for brahmanas to set the proper example and not only talk so
others will hear from them.

ISKCON was to be a brahminical movement - still, within this brahminical
movement, Srila Prahbupada requested twice born brahmanas (both eastern and
western initiated devotees), to engage the Bull and Cow for the deity. He gave
very
grave warnings about what would happen if we didn't. Some of those warnings
(such as selling (and thus killing) the bulls) have come to pass.

We are always sobered and amazed when Srila Prahbupada's warnings come to
pass (when we fail). Why don't we follow his instructions and be amazed when
his
benedictions come to pass??? He stated in Bhagavatam that cow protections will
solve all economic problems. Lets do it right and see the result. Then the
communities won't be strapped for cash.

As I 've said before, Brahmanas can and should perform the duity of both
ksatriyas and Vaisyas when the example is lacking -- it is called "teaching"
which
is a key responsibility of a brahmana. There are several instances in
shastra.

If a brahmana is not willing to teach and do the needful then he/she is only
a phoney and is simply using the brahmana caste as a path to an easy life.

No one wants to do the needful labor with some lazy self-rightious ass (as in
donkey) standing above him/her telling that "I am brahmin, this is sudra work
-- you do it."

This is the bane of kali yuga "brahminism" and is what lead to the successful
rise of Buddhism and Islam throughout India. It is simply bastardised
varnashram in the form of the hindu caste system.

Not only that, but as Hare Krishna Devi, myself (and of course Srila
Prahbupada) have pointed out, to have first-class deity worship and Brahminical

culture, it is essential to offer and utilize produce and milk products
produced by
cow protection and engagement of the Bull.

Otherwise what is the meaning of cow protection being necessary for
brahminical culture ??? -- it would only be that a convenient grocery store
with a kali
yuga dairy contract is essential for brahminical culture.

This is what it means when the temples and communities keep things as they
are or when leaders allow devotees to think that cow protection is a "Sudra" or

"Vaisya" devotional service. What did the brahmanas of the vedic age do with
the cows that were donated to them??? Sell them to vaisyas and sudras??? No,
they accepted them and utilzed them in service of the absolute.
