Save K.B. temple Vrindavan(Prabhupada's Home) and The Bramcharies

Respected Basu Ghosh prabhu and other RGB Members,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

We want to bring to your notice the actual situation of Vrindavan temple and
also about those two bramcharies.

1. Vishu Mohan Das was very hard working and dedicated temple commander. He
developed some chest infection so he went to Delhi for some check ups. The
Dr. advised him to have at least two weeks bed rest. At that time
Devkinandan prabhu was in Mumbai. In his absence Dina Bandhu prabhu
sanctioned 3500 Rs And 3 weeks resting holidays for Vishnu Mohan Das. When
he came back to Vrindavan he was surprised to know that Sarang Thakur das
was appointed as new temple commander. Up to his surprise he checked with
Sarvabhouma prabhu and he was told that your services are no more required.
So he was left with no choice but waited for Devkinandan das to come. When
Devkinandan prabhu came from Mumbai Vishnu Mohan das was told by him don't
worry you are still the temple commander. After that Sarvabhouma Das and
Devakinandan Das had an argument and could not decide about Vishnu's fate.
After that as advised by the doctor again to have rest for couple of weeks
he went to the hill station. In his absence his luggage was thrown out of
his room and when he came back he was told sorry we can not offer you any
service. Under these circumstances he was left with no choice and left the
temple without even collecting his belongings.

2. Divya Purush Das was working at the position of Financial Controller. As
directed by the management he was told to check all the bills and payments
of the suppliers. He was also asked among the meeting to check the bills and
payments of all the departments. He started his duty very honestly and
dedicatedly. Very soon he started objecting to the extra expenses of the
different departments. Within four months of his service people started
opposing his position but management was supporting him and everything was
going smooth. As usual Devakinandan das was not in temple. In his absence
Divya Purush use to have many problems, still he was managing the show
without proper funds. So under these conditions there was lot of stress and
mental tension accumulating. At number of times Divya Purush das was forced
to pass false and bogus bills of the authorities. Specifically from the vice
president and the departments. Under these circumstances it became difficult
to continue his services. He kept on requesting the authorities to change
his service they did listen to his request and he kept on continuing his
service under stress for another three months. He asked for two weeks of
leave for going to Bhagwat Saptah to Haridwar. They gave him two weeks leave
with the instructions that don't come back to the temple. When he came back
after two weeks he asked for service he was told by the authorities that we
don't want to give you any service. So he started staying out of the temple.
a. We find hardly any difference at that time and now everything is going in
the same way as it was at that time. At that time the collection of temple
was Rs. 10 lacs every month on an average so there was no problem. With new
management the collection is gone down to Rs. 2 lacs per month on an
average. As far as Sadhana is concerned we don't find any difference. The
new management forcefully told many devotees to wear saffron clothes. Free
mixing of men and women still going on openly (westerners only) most of them
Ex-gurukulies. As far as people are being taken around to the holy places is
continuing not by the bramcharies but by the management for braj darsan and
god knows about the payments where it goes? They converted one bus of
sankirtan in to tourist bus for doing business and trying to earn some money
for the temple. At that time there were 160 devotees in the temple and now
there are only 60 devotees left. At that time there were 65 devotees with
sankirtan department and all the five buses were on the move distributing
Prabhupada's books. Now all the five buses are parked in the K.B Land
Parking with the big? Were are the devotees of sankirtan department gone and
who is responsible for this?. In comparison to the previous management this
management is making bigger mess of the funds. Mahaman Prabhu left FDR's
worth Rs. 70 lacs can we ask the question where is that money gone?
Ex-gurukulies are enjoying in the same manner, as it was two years back.
b. The VAC and VEB has proven to be a bigger mess. None of their polices
worked out here successfully. They come for one week to have their meetings
without any results.
1. There are hardly any devotees left for the morning program to be
attended.
2. The collection is totally gone down so where it is to be deposited.
3. Instead of commission to LM Preacher now they are giving them actual
expenses, which is always more than the commission what they were getting
earlier.
4. The unauthorized shops are still going on(false statement given)
5. Instead of bramcharies now our respected president Brihat Mrdanga Das is
more involved with women.
6. Now the management people are busy doing all these activities and
pocketing all this money.
7. False statement given. Devakinandan's Brother is also getting maintenance
and telephone expenses. There are more people adding to these list names
will be given if asked.
8. New Bhakta program was much better because in this way we were making
more genuine devotees. College program will never be a success because after
leaving college this people will never think of ISKCON. They will run in
material life to earn more and more money what they have spent against their
studies.
9. In stead of telling devotees to leave the temple the new management
created such big problems and circumstances so most of them may leave. We
can ask these people where is the sankirtan department devotees gone and why
did they leave.
10. Whenever a devotee wants to come back to the temple the management never
gives them any proper answer.
c. There are so many wonderful devotees like Aindra Das, Brajananda das,
Janardan
Das and so many other western devotees in our temple. So the is no question
of bodily consciousness. Will the management be able to build Bramcharies
ashram in next five years?
This is false that they are saying they did not turn out the devotees. We
have already given details about Divya Purush das and Vishnu mohan das. They
are talking of purchasing Pruthu's Ashram for a college. Do you think this
is justified to purchase ashram against such a big price. They are not able
to feed temple devotees and are not able to give maintenance to Grahastha
devotees and salaries to the employees of the temple. So money what they are
spending to buy college building they should use this for making new
bramcharies building. So we think the preference should be given to the
Bramcharies Ashram instead of college building. If they decide to purchase
college building for the students who are yet to come. So where will they
bramcharies stay and from where the money will come for Bramcharies Ashram.
Divya Purush and Vishnu Mohan helped them to save their home. There was not
even a single devotee from Narayan maharaja's camp this is false allegation.
Know about Our Bramchari President:
Brihat Mridanga Das.

1. The President of Sri Krsna-Balarama Mandir Raman Reti Vrindavan.
Brihat Mridanga Das who came from South Africa, started opposing and
criticizing Hindi speaking devotees. He always uses this language that
the devotees who do not know English Language will be turned out of
the temple.
2. He tried and stopped the Hindi Classes of Srimad Bhagvatam and
Bhagvat Gita.
3. Our temple is situated in Vrindavan which Hindi speaking area or
State, but still he says that only English should be preferred in the
temple.
4. In last fifteen months since he joined the temple total 60 devotees
were thrown out of the temple showing different reasons.
5. He always tries to make such regulations so the devotees should
leave the temple in frustration.
6. He always prefers western devotees and gives them all the possible
help and other facilities like food, accommodation and transportation
etc.
when they come to Vrindavan, if the Hindi speaking local devotees
visits to the temple he always discourage them and no help is provided
to them.
7. He always says that preference will be given to the highly educated
devotees and they should be conversant in English and he claims since
the temple was built from the foreign funds so the preference will be
given to the western devotees.
8. When he came from South Africa he gave us so many false promises
that he will be living in Brahmachari Ashram with the other resident
devotees and accept the same facilities which are being provided to
all the devotees. But he stays in the guest house using A.C. room and
he gets special Prasad and other facilities like geyser for taking hot
water bath and only mineral water for drinking, from the guest house.
9. He says that all the Hindi speaking devotees will be thrown out and
we actually need only 25 English speaking devotees in the temple.
10. Temple doesn't have its own residential facility for their resident
devotees so they have hired few rooms in the Gurukul Building for
which temple is paying monthly rent to the Gurukul, because of this
reason he says to cut down these expanses he would like to keep only
25 devotees in thetemple.
11. 125 devotees are forced to live in 25 rooms which is not appropriate
ideal situation to live in the Ashram. There are total 5 toilets and
two big common bathrooms without doors. Every morning devotees face
lot of problem while using this limited facility.
12. He always tells all the Brahmacharis not to talk to any Mataji but
he himself more often seen talking to Matajis. One Mataji came from
Canada with whom he used to take meals with her daily in his room.
13. If we Indian devotees are talking among ourselves and by mistake if
one keeps his hand on other devotee's shoulder he approaches us and
tells, "Are you homo-sexual?"
14. In last 15 months he was hardly present in Vrindavan for 6 months
and spent 9 months outside India, all his traveling expenses(
air-tickets) were born by the temple.
15. Devotees are getting two times Prasadam which is of very low
quality. Normally same vegetable is repeatedly prepared for months.
Because of the bad quality of Prasadam most of the devotees suffer
from stomach problem and bad health. If any devotee becomes seriously
ill they tried to send him home saying that we can not bear the
expenses.
16. People who are directly connected to the authorities always gets
extra facilities.
17. Most of the resident devotees are having their ID cards issued by
the previous authorities. Now they have introduced a new format for
which they are forcing on to the devotees to give their personal
particulars and signatures so they can keep their records and issue
new ID cards. On the basis this new form it will be very easy for the
authorities to throw themout any time without any solid reason or
explanation.

d. we also pray to their Lordships and Prabhupada to give us enough
intelligence so we can expose people like our temple authorities.
e. We never said that we did not want Devakinandan Das as our president.
f. We approached the authorities many times but they did not pay any
attention towards our request. Because of this reason we sat on hunger
strike and got the coverage done by media, press, government officers and
police.
They gave us false promise through the written agreement, which they are not
implementing upon.

Please give your suggestions shall we go on hunger strike again? or the
management will reach to some decision or u people will decide something for
us.
