breaking the regulative principles and are engaged in sinful activities) are
chanting the holy names of Nitai-Gaura, their swift advancement (and
ecstatic symptoms) on the path of love of Godhead is very prominently

In Sri Caitanya-caritamrta, Adi-lila, 8.22-24,29-32:

(22) adyapiha dekha caitanya-nama yei laya;
krsna-preme pulakasru-vihvala se haya.

"Whether he is offensive or inoffensive, anyone who even now chants
Sri-Krsna-Caitanya Prabhu-Nityananda is immediately overwhelmed and agitated
with ecstasy of pure love for Krsna, and tears of love fill his eyes.

PURPORT BY SRILA PRABHUPADA:

The prakrta-sahajiyas who chant nitai-gaura radhe syama have very little
knowledge of the Bhagavata conclusion, and they hardly follow the Vaisnava
rules and regulations, and yet because they chant bhaja nitai-gaura, their
chanting immediately evokes tears and other signs of ecstasy. Although they
do not know the principles of Vaisnava philosophy and are not very much
advanced in education, by these symptoms they attract many men to become
their followers. Their ecstatic tears will of course help them in the long
run, for as soon as they come in contact with a pure devotee their lives
will become successful. ***** Even in the beginning, however, because they
are chanting the holy names of Nitai-Gaura, their swift advancement on the
path of love of Godhead is very prominently visible.****

The names of Nitai-Gaura seem to be the most unimaginably merciful thing in
the whole creation. They are more merciful than Nitai-Gaura themselves. The
prakrta-sahajiyas are constantly engaged in breaking the regulative
principles, anti-bhakti activities, sinful activities like illicit-sex,
drinking, smoking bidis, ganja etc. But according to Srila Prabhupada they
are exhibiting symptoms of making rapid progress or swift advancement on the
path of pure love of God just for the simple reason that they are chanting
the names of Nitai-Gaura.

It is very clear from the above verse (and previous and next verses to this
verse and purports in Cc Adi Chp 8) that the names of Nitai-Gaura absolutely
don't consider any offenses (except maybe the most heinous offense of
criticizing the exalted Vaishnavas) and have immediate effect on the
chanter. Prabhupada writes in the translation that the names of Nitai-Gaura
don't consider whether one is offensive or inoffensive in giving him love of
God. Mind boggling! What can you except more than this? That is why it is
said by Shrila Lochana das Thakura that Nitai-Gaura are
saba-avatara-sara-shiromani: the crest-jewel and essence of all other
incarnations of God.

According to Navadvipa-dhama-mahatmya, pure love of God (which cannot be
achieved by millions of lives of sadhana-bhakti) comes searching after a
person who calls out the names of Nitai-Gaura (will be sent in next email).

Ofcourse this verse and purport should not be used as a license to
simultaneously sin and then chant Nitai-Gaura but it only shows the
extraordinary and the topmost mercy in Nitai-Gaura's names.
