I am sorry I can't advise you astrologically but I know it is a fact that the only way to overcome the negative (and positive) influences of our prabdha karma is by calling (chanting) on the name of the Lord. Afterall He alone is the master of the universe and the planets and suns all revolve under His direction and will.
