If I may be so bold:

I think what we are talking about here are two processes. One, the
process in which these faculties are "destroyed" and then in essence
reborn, a process in which the Goddess purifies us, and two, the
inner processes that occur in the individual as she moves from normal
consciousness to samadhi, in the highest of which none of these
faculties exist. In either case, we need them back when she's done
with them, or we could not interact with the world.
