I agree with Dr. Gopal - one has seen many cases of advanced liver
damage benefited by Ayurveda. It is not possible to remove the scar
tissue that has been created but it is possible to eliminate the
infectious and inflammtory conditions and the congestion can be
drained - this will allow the healthy tissue to function as well as
possible and although the patient will not ever achieve optimal liver
function - they will be able to live a normal life and avoid the
devestation of advancing liver failure and possibly liver cancer.
Cirrhosis should always be treated to the extent possible since much
benefit in quality of life and relief of symptoms can be derived. In
fact liver diseases are a very fruitful area for Ayurveda. This is an
area where Western medicine has nothing to offer but traditional
medicine has been treating these diseases for thousands of years.

I agree with Dr.Venugopal. There are very effective herbs which rejuvenate liver and give new life to such patients. We have treated many of such cases.

I am agreed with the statment that there are many effective and herbal medicines in Ayurveda from that liver diseases can be cured and also thats my opioion where all the therapy ends the Ayurveda therapy begains.. and there are many examples and reality which had proved about the miracles in Ayurveda,, and and i had cured many of patient who got reffered by Appolo and AIms and doctor told they wont do any thing and are getting cured from Ayurvedic medicines..
Ayurved chiktsa depends upon Nidan,, and once the Perfect diagnose is done patient can be cured,,
difficult diseases like non alcoholic liver cirrhosis we give patient following medicines and if patient like to get relief more quicker than some additional swarn rasayan like swarn sutsekhar ras, etc will add for fast relief.. but every thing depends upon patient nidan and Pulse diagnose.. here is some useful compound for liver cirrhosis,,
