Hello Mr. Fractionator,

Are you sure this is not due to dry skin? If a
moisturizers don't do the trick in the next couple of
months, this is something to ponder about.

Best,
Gayathri.

Hi,

Just a quick response..I never had this happen personally however, my
husband had strange things happen when he started ashtanga 15 years ago. He
started in Mysore and was very stiff in his knees and back. Apparently with
the heat created and the strength of Guruji when putting him into postures,
the impurities of the body were coming out. Around the knee and on the
spine. It's pretty amazing how this practice works!! He had some "indian"
recipe with mud and cabbage (I know sounds a bit strange) that was packed on
the areas and eventually the bumbs went away.

So, take it as a good sign. Stuff that has been building up in the body is
now releasing :-)

Take care,
Namaste,
Linda

Quick question - has anyone experienced this before?

My skin is normally pretty good, but over the last couple of months I
seem to have broken out into quite a few spots on my back and shoulders
- Whats this got to do with Ashtanga???

....Well, I come from a background of lifting weights, wrestling, and
hard martial arts...which I gave up over 2.5 yrs ago and took up
ashtanga instead. Now as a result of my weights I created a lot of
tightness and inflexibility in my shoulders and back...and it so happens
that over the last 2 months I'm experiencing a massive change in the
openness of these areas. Could this be causing the spots on my back and
shoulders say via toxins being released or some other process?

Has anyone else experienced this before?

Ok...I'm off for a back cleanse now!

Smile,

Fraction8r

Hi,

I have experienced this before. When I would wera a
rucksack for quite a while I would develop a few spots
at certain points in my shouders.

I agree with the notion that it is toxins clearing out
of the system, if they are white heads it is white
because that is the colour of dead leucocytes, or
white blood cells trying to fight off an infection.

Rubbing urine into the skin rather than soap can be a
good way of improving the quality of the skin. Working
from the inside out, your diet will have a lot to do
with it as well.

I suppose its better that stuff comes to the surface
rather than being stuck within in the tissues.

Keith
