Default Help concerning "Marichyasana A"

I am wondering if anyone out there can help me out
with "marichyasana A" I am having a difficult time binding in this
posture. I am at the point where my fingers are touching, but I
cannot seem to get any further. Now,when I am preparing to get into
the posture....I am a little off balanced...is it better that i
should work on that first and then proceed on attempting to bind?
Also, should I be working on opening my shoulders to facilitate
binding? If so how would I go about doing so?
It seems it is much to ask,but I really could use some insight to my
querry,it would be most appriciated!

Namaste, Dean
