Thank you for your kind words. I too, have enjoyed what you have had to
say.

Actually, I just realized that it is not a book by Thom Birch but a video
which gives a 30 minute yoga workout especially for runners. You will find
in under the site of www.power-yoga.com.

I have finally come to the decision that I am going to go back to running as
I have in the past. I love to run, and for me (definetly
perimenopausal/borderline menopausal) it is the only way I can keep my
weight down. I will do the best I can with my ashtanga practice but, I have
to somehow incorporate the two now and I guess that is my new challenge. I
went for a run yesterday with my 11 year old who has joined the cross
country team and it was a thrill beyond anything to run with him at my side
(now, I won't get into who has more stamina). I will just have to really
make the effort to do some lite ashtanga after I run to stretch back to my
comfort zone. Thanks for the inspiration, I needed the push!

As far as the race goes, you know how just the energy of the other racers
can pull you along and just do the best you can. If you don't finish, so
what!! At least you got there to do it, many others are sitting just
watching tv and eating themselves to death!

I love being a mom, but I look forward to the days when I will be able to
devote more time to my practice and a bit of a "quieter life."

This has been a very rough year for everyone, everywhere and with the
anniversary of September 11th just one day away, I pray that we never have
to go through anything like this ever. I pray that love will prevail and in
the end, the light will shine.

Have a great day everyone!
Margee
