It's not just Christians who get involved in mission work beyond Delaware's borders.
Meghan Pasricha of Hockessin expressed her Hindu faith during a trip with her
parents to India this summer.
Her goal was to teach young people about the dangers of tobacco and she prepared
a PowerPoint presentation, posters and display materials. She used them in 11
talks she gave in Puni, Mahow, Delhi, Mumvai, Bangalore and villages.
She estimates that she reached 3,000 students about the dangers of smoking.
Pasricha's guru, Sathya Sai Baba, teaches that the best way to reach God is to
respect all religions and to love all and serve all.
"I believe that hands that serve are better than lips that pray," she said.
"Personally I do this as a religious activity. I believe your body is your
temple, a sacred place. You don't want to do anything to harm. And you don't
want to harm others."
