RE: Question to Swami Dayamrita at a Retreat
Swami said "Once you have Amma for your guru".
How do we know that Amma is our Guru.
Does everyone who gets hugged by Amma has Amma as their Guru? Or only
those who receive a mantra or name?
I mean how can we be very sure?

Subject: [Ammachi] Question to Swami Dayamrita at a Retreat
Just thought of a question from a retreat with Swami Dayamrita that I
loved:
At a retreat a few years back in Iowa with Swami Dayamrita, a question
was asked, "How can we know if we are doing the right thing? How do we
know that our actions will take us to the goal when we make so many
mistakes in our lives?"
Swami Dayamrita responded, "Have no worries or concerns about this.
Once you have Amma for your guru, it is like the lamb's head in the
lion's mouth. She will not let you go. She will fulfill Her promise.
She will take you to the goal."
in Amma,

Re: Question to Swami Dayamrita at a Retreat
A few years ago in Michigan, at the retreat Q&A session, someone asked Amma,
"How do
you know when you've found your guru?" Amma's reply was something like, "You'll
know
because you'll have fallen in love" -- and you could feel the whole room smile.
=)
Love,
Iswari

Re: Question to Swami Dayamrita at a Retreat
I remember that! And I am in LOVE!
I also recall Swami Dayamrita giving a talk once comparing when we
are in love with someone, we think about them all the time. How,
when we arise in the morning, we think of him or her. When we are
eating, we wonder what our beloved is eating. When we are going to
work, we wonder what our beloved is doing. So with every activity,
our beloved is immersed in our thoughts.
And in being in LOVE with Amma..SHE is THE beloved! There can be no
LOVE greater than Amma, my guru. Maybe someone remembers the rest of
this talk too...?
