Default Watercolors Not Allowed To Dry

"A man and a woman sit near each other, and they do
not long
at this moment to be older, or younger, nor born
in any other nation, or time, or place.
They are content to be where they are, talking or
not-talking.
Their breaths together feed someone whom we do
not know.
The man sees the way his fingers move;
he sees her hands close around a book she hands
to him.
They obey a third body that they share in common.
They have made a promise to love that body.
Age may come, parting may come, death will come.
A man and a woman sit near each other;
as they breathe they feed someone we do not know,
someone we know of, whom we have never seen."

~ Robert Bly

When we first met again, we couldn't stop
laughing. We are laughing still.
It never ends, and we shall never stop.
Nothing shall remain, and so
we laugh. It's just the way we are.
I came a long way to return to her, and
she waited such a long time for my return.
It is as if we had never parted.
I know who she is, she knows who
I am. It is not as if we are strangers
to ourselves, but we are stranger than
ourselves, for we have been free before
we were born, and so we can be together,
laughing through the night, raising great
Gales of laughter, and nearby the neighbors
all hear this laughing, and lately they have started
laughing too, because we all just love this kind of
laughing, the laughing that has no laugh-er, but just
laughing, laughing, loving into laughter into love.
Really, she can put her hand on my heart and
the tiny laughter in her fingers brings laughing
tears to my eyes, these Irish eyes that are laughing
into this enormously humorous Mystery, this Love
that only wants to kiss Itself into deeper laughter still –
the laughing stillness of Silence.

This Laughter is our third body we have been feeding,
but honestly, SweetHeart –

we never have been able to say who
is feeding, nor who is
being fed.

In such not knowing, we
burst out laughing
all over again!

LoveAlways,

b

"One of us kneels to kiss the threshold.
One drinks, with wine-flames playing over his face.
One watches the gathering,
And says to any cold onlookers,

This dance is the joy of existence."

~Rumi

The threshold is Your Heart.
This drink, the wine, Your Heart.
These flames surrounding us now,
It's Your Heart, Your Heart
lit in Love's Blaze.
This face is Your Heart.
All watching and watchers,
They are Your Heart.
This Dance is Your Heart.
This Joy is Your Heart.
This Existence is Your Heart.
I Am Your Heart.

"A thinker collects and links up proofs.
A mystic does the opposite.
He lays his head on a person's chest
And sinks into the answer."

~Rumi

Sinking into the Sea of Bliss,
and although not a sea,
and not an ocean or a river.
This Bliss is a Tide pulling me in.
There are mystics like flotsam
and jetsom floating all around us.
Each one weaves and drifts
in the stream of our OneHeart,
melting their Souls like Spirits
set free from a bottle broken open
as it crashes on enormous rocks,
a Rock of Ages Singing,
still inside this moment,
and past, present and future
are swimming free
and filled with every Mystic's Joy
into the Silence of our Answer:

the Sea has ceased to Be.

"In reality, with he or she so overcome,
so dissolved into Love,
all qualities of doing-ness
disappear."

~Rumi

We're being done,
and done up,
and done in,
and we do nothing, and yet,
these miracles keep falling
like golden-scented blossoms,
like some fragrant joyous rain
all around us each moment.
Each moment the Beautiful One,
The Beloved, Most Beautiful One
keeps lifting up His Heart
and squeezing out every drop
of His Love's Lifeblood.
Falling all around us
and filling so fully,
each particle of our Being,
we have become One Weeping.
Tears of Grace are the Face,
This Face we see of God
Each time we look into
one another's eyes.

"Last night, full of longing, asking
the wine-woman for more, and then more.

She teased me so lovingly I fell
Into her and disappeared. Then
She was there alone."

"Lovers pitch tents on a field of Nowhere.
They are all one color like that field."

~Rumi

Last night,
You and I became the vast Orchard,
The Immense Grape Vineyard,
The Infinite Shiva and Shakti Jasmine Garden.

What Fragrance is this Love?
What Color is this Love?
What is the Taste of this Love?
What does this Love look like?
What does this Love feel like?

Open your Heart and breathe in
The Beauty of this Love.

Open your Heart and see clearly
The Mystery of this Love.

Open your Heart and Swallow deeply
The Sweet Endless Wine of this Love.

Open your Heart and Be the See of Sight,
Of this Sightless Seeing Light of Love.

Open your Heart and Touch
And be Touched by the Heartbeat of this Love.

LoveAlways,

Mazie
