Lifting the glass to Love,
the Winemaker of our Heart's new Vintage Laughs!
"See the blueish tinge around the edges?" He asks.
"And look at the purple and ruby tints there!"
Standing shoulder to shoulder, we stare into the glass.
Seeing every possible hue and nuance of Color,
we are drawn into the Tenderness of This Moment.
Everyone around us disappears, and we are left Alone.
Nothing ever came even remotely near to this Love We Are Now.
Nothing ever experienced can come near to This! This!
Rumi said that God can be seen in the color red.
Looking into the SweetWine of Your Heart's Liquid movements,
i know that what he said is true, so very, very true.
One afternoon in the Napa Valley heartland, my Heart opened.
Each subtle Sound of this OneHeart is heard as Silence.
Nodding, and touching Your face, i am lifted into the Elsewhere.
No world, no winery, no Wine or Vine or Vintner before me Now.
There is only this Moment, and You and i, alone and weeping.
We cry for the Love we have been given, the Love that has taken us.
What form of Grace draws this Glassy-eyed Look from One another?
How can i ever explain how Dear You are to me, how Beautiful?
i sink even deeper into the Reddish Wine before me Now,
and there is nothing i wouldn't do to make you Happy,
to give You Joy unbounded, and the Bliss, the Bliss of God.
Making movements like calligraphy marks so Sublime,
so Perfect and so Mysterious they cannot be written,
we are stroked from the Beloved's Own Hand into a Living Poem.
Beloved, my Darling One, born from the Center of Love ItSelf,
i lift my Heart, a cup of rippling Laughter just for You.
i drink from the Heart of Life and Death and Eternal Light.
Come and meet me in the vineyards at the full Moon, my Dear.
We will cause the grapes to turn into Sweet, SweetWine
while they still hang in purpled clusters on the vine.
i Kiss the very ground where Your Precious feet have trod,
and i Kiss the Face of Love that God has given to me as You.
We will break Free into some form of Love Unbelievable, Oh! Yes!
Forever Free, never bound, always only Boundless Love We Are.
Some nights i cannot stop weeping at this Beauty, This Beauty!
Lifting this glass of Mystery-made Mazie-Merlot, This Heart,
i break apart and shatter all illusion of separation from You.
Never born and never died and never less than All, i Dissolve,
We dissolve into Mirth so Pure, the entire Napa Valley claps in Joy!
