Re: There are millions of initatates lusting after the big sound
I suppose that instead of *freaking out* and ending up in *a mental
institution*, it is possible to transform the sound into vibrations in the
physical body; that is, to GROUND the energy, to manifest it in the
concrete, physical reality. One (of many) lines of development goes along
these path: (a) first clairvoyant views of colours, (b) clairaudience and
inner sounds, and (c) vibrations in the physical body.

DEar Alton,
Knowing that you have read widely in spiritual literature, may I ask
how this is any different than lusting after siddhas? You know that
occult type powers, like clairvoyance, etc, may simply happen
spontaneously.Either way, most all the classic literature of
recognized ones like Ramana cautions against paying much attention to
such manifestations. So what are you really asking for? What will
hearing this sound or any sound really do for you, Alton?
Since I recently mentioned psychosis here, let me add another
caution. I have had both types of experiences (crazy and not), and
there is basically NO difference in the experience itself.
The "craziness" is mostly a matter of how functional or dysfunctional
a person is afterwards, or if it becomes a 24/7 experience that takes
someone out of touch with reality. someone out of reality. Really, I
have heard sounds, like the thunder one, to me like a door slamming
over and over, also 3 gong type bells - both happened while
meditating and very much in my normal state of mind. This is no big
deal and means nothing, certainly hearing any sound is no proof of
moksha.
Well, I am very unclear from what you say, just what you are seeking,
Alton. Could you explain or elaborate?
Love Glo

I define "psychosis" as too much energy in the head. When Kundalini moves
upwards, our assemblage point of consciousness moves into other dimensions
in order to adopt inspiration. When the energy returns downwards, we must
ground it, and in such ways we avoid socalled mental diseases.
On the other hand, we have the cases where the light energy comes from above
downwards - where too much energy is "down there", causing serious diseases
in the physical body. This is Yin and Yang, the two poles of upwards and
downwards circulation which should be balanced in order to live healthy.
Therefore, I mentioned the clairvoyance->clairaudience->vibrations of the
body steps, as tools for cosmic energy to be transmitted through us and
grounded. It's very dangerous to "hold on the energy".
