Glo/Moderated lists
Namaste,
My 2 cents' worth...
Haven't followed this thread too much, but I have read a few, including
some of Glo's posts, and some of Angelique's. Angelique posted everything
with a certain smile and softness. Perhaps intense and dramatic topics,
and perhaps off the list-topic, but in a light-hearted way, from the posts
I read. Maybe I missed some posts, but it seems that Angelique has
complied pretty well with the guidelines once we started to bring them up
for air. And it seems she has not argued to change or alter the guidelines
so that they would allow what she likes to write about. It seems that she
knows how big the Net is!
I think Glo, as representing the list owner Harsha, has been doing a very
good and thoughtful job moderating. There are list guidelines, every list
has them, some more clear than HarshaSatsangh's guidelines, and some less.
And Glo is giving about as clear an articulation of these guidelines as can
be done. And this with a kindliness and openness to further discussion
on-list, off-list and in any way that can make the list function
harmoniously according to its guidelines. I am glad to have Glo as a
hard-working moderator!
Glo has wisely acknowledged that it's about posts, not people.
In spiritual terms, freedom is
the non-resisting unforced isness
of what-is. It is that what appears
isn't prevented from appearing,
and what does not appear
isn't forced to appear.
In very un-spiritual terms, freedom on the net is the ability to create
lists, set up guidelines and go with them, or not. And to ask others to go
with them as well. I think Bruce-ji and Dan-ji and Gloria-ji have said
similar things already!
Love to all,
Greg
