Until such time as the universe makes a fundamental change in the way
people treat and relate to one another, all the power and technology
advances will not in and of themselves be of much aid.

In this universe anything can and does happen.

As for power, we already have some proven clean sources available.
Wind, solar, and hydrogen fuel cells.
