~~~LIVING AND CREATING JOYFULLY~~~
CREATING SANCTUARY
To be safe - to trust that there is someplace where we can be in our own
love - is to create that haven away from a world of lower dimensional
insanity. Only we can take the time and make the effort to create that
haven in our beings, our homes, and our lives from which we can operate
with love and flow in the outer world.
Sanctuary - a place of sacred belonging and being - is often relegated to a
place of worship. We have often used the word to refer to wildlife
refuges, communal religious areas, even to special places in our gardens.
But most of us have not considered what this truly means to our mental,
emotional, physical - and spiritual - well-being.
Our inner children need respite from the onslaughts of a mad world. They
are reeling, in this moment, from the uprising of collective fear which
also remains within ourselves So many of us are feeling the anxieties,
depression and internal upheaval that this time of The Awakening is
bringing into the planet. It is not going to become easier until the full
planetary shift into the fourth dimension.
In this final phase of The Awakening, every particle of this planet, every
atom of our beings is going to be shaken until they resonate and become
harmonic with fourth dimensional vibrations. The strange behaviors,
violence, seeming global depression and anxiety are going to escalate as
those who do not know how to take responsibility for their thoughts and
actions - creations - fall into increasing states of despair.
Sanctuary can become that place within our own homes in which only love is
invited in - in which we can work through our unhealed states crying out
for love - and into which we invite only those who are in an equal or
higher vibration of love. This is a locale in which there are no phones,
no TV and no interference from anything or anyone we do not invite to sit
with us.
MEDITATION: The Cocoon of Safety
(This meditation should be done first thing in the morning. It can also be
done several times during the day, especially when facing people or
situations that make you feel uneasy.)
Move into a light meditative state
Focus on the heart. As you focus here, see the rose light of your heart
begin to glow.
Focus upon allowing the rose light to expand and grow until it fills your
whole body.
Continue to focus on your heart's rose light and allow it to expand into
your aura until your aura is filled with rose light.
Now take your attention to your third eye. As you focus here, become aware
of the very beautiful, luminescent indigo light that begins to radiate.
Fill your body with indigo light. Fill your aura with indigo light, this
time allowing the indigo light to expand beyond the heart's rose light,
creating an oval band of indigo light beyond the band of rose light.
Now focus on your crown center. Become aware of its very beautiful,
iridescent white violent light. Look deeply and recognize the shimmering
essence of the white light here. Allow it to fill your body, your aura and
move into a band of white light beyond the rose light and the indigo light.
A SILENT EXPRESSION OF JOY
We have talked about being in our joy in an outer world of nature, music,
and group synergy. Now we need to look at the essence of joy as a function
of natural, daily, flowing open-heartedness. Moving into our joy, coming
from a world that disallows true joy and the satisfaction with our lives
and ourselves that is happiness, takes daily practice.
For the heart to be open and flowing requires a very specific focus of
attention upon it, and very disciplined minds that disallow inappropriately
mundane and fear-based thoughts. This practice can be in the form of
meditation or simple relaxation, which in itself is a form of meditation.
MEDITATION: Moving into a State of Grace that is Joy
Go into a state of deep meditation.
Call all those individuals to you who are or have been your master teachers
in this (and other, if you are aware of them) lifetimes. Send deep
gratitude to these beings for their agreement to act out their parts in the
unfolding drama so that you could experience what you came here to know and
so that you could learn your life lessons.
Now send gratitude to yourself for all that you are and all you have and
will yet accomplish. Thank yourself for your courage and strength to walk
consciously in a world of fear. Thank your inner children for cooperating
in the process of self-discovery. Thank your Soul and your Spirit for
their presence in your life. Thank yourself for opening up to your
conscious knowledge and presence of them.
Send gratitude to your higher spiritual guides who are your brothers and
sisters for their love and their help in this journey. Send gratitude to
God for all that you are, all of your relationships and all that you own.
Call your master teachers to you once more Send them deep compassion for
the fear and pain of their inner children and unhealed states upon which
they have yet to work in this lifetime. Bless them and see them healing
into states of joy and peace.
Bless yourself and see yourself continuing to walk impeccably upon your own
Path of Love/Joy/Heart/Soul/Spirit with increasing awareness and growing
love.
Go deep into your own being and recognize the Godness within. Sit in this
knowledge, accepting yourself as the Master of your own personal universe
and creator of all that is your own reality.
Magnetize to you now those people who will help you in your path, those
people who will help you in your work, those people who you can help, and
all the most lavish, unlimited abundance that the universe is attempting to
give you in every moment. Accept the love. Accept the abundance. Feel it
in your being and in your body. Feel it in your heart. Feel your joy.
MOVEMENT AS MEDITATION
Tbe body, when stretched and toned, uplifts the spirits, allows the energy
of the earth to flow into a state of well-being within and opens a pathway
to the joyful heart. Exercise need not be strenuous or pushing a limit of
physical capability. Many regimes currently in use do not combine mental,
emotional, spiritual and energy components. Severe anaerobic and aerobic
physical workouts so often are detrimental and even downright dangerous to
bones, muscles and connective tissues.
Humanity has been exercising the body for thousands of years. We find some
of the best kinds of beneficial workouts in the East: hatha and kundalini
yoga, chi kung, tai chi and now tantric toning and various combinations and
interchanges between these disciplines that enhance us overall.
Classes are available everywhere, but video tapes and books provide us with
personal instruction that afford both privacy and allow us to work within
our own time frames., in our own sanctuaries.
Recommended exercises: (please see Barbara Brennan's books for working
with the meridians, simplified kundalini yoga and Hara exercises that
center the mind and body, energize the being and bring well-being fully
within.)
Grounding: the connection with the earth provides an emotional "safety
net" within some primordial part of our beings. Most of us have lost touch
with the earth and need to reestablish this connection so that our joy can,
at last, flow freely and openly. We are a part of the pulse of this
planet, and only our feet can help us make that connection between earth,
heart and Spirit.
Here are two simple exercises for grounding:
(Barbara Brennan's books, HANDS OF LIGHT and LIGHT EMERGING give
illustrated exercises for opening the meridians, beginner's kundalini yoga
and Hara exercises for working with Soul level energies. They are not
difficult and will thoroughly open, center, balance and energize if done on
a regular basis.)
Open Horse Pose: standing upright, keep back straight, and head aligned
with spine. Spread feet about 3 feet apart, toes pointing slightly inward.
Relax the pelvis, roll back and relax the shoulders and let the arms and
hands drop with hands open, pointing to the ground. Breathe deeply into
the abdomen, upper abdomen, lower chest, upper chest and reverse for the
exhale. Let the breath break up any stagnant patterns and calm any
emotions that might be swirling around……….and let them drop to the earth,
dripping out of your body and rolling down your buttocks and legs and deep
into the earth. Feel yourself become very relaxed and centered, rooted
deeply to the center of the earth. Hold this pose 2 - 3 minutes.
Wide Seated Pose: take some deep breaths. Spread feet three feet apart,
toes pointed outward, back straight, head aligned with spine. Bend the
knees (plie), bringing the buttocks down towards the ground as far as it is
comfortable for you to do. Feel your feet holding you securely to the
ground. Raise and lower yourself slightly, feeling the rocking of this up
and down motion, and feel how well the ground and your feet can hold you.
Feel the safety of this position as you breathe deeply and settle into the
balance of it for 2 - 3 minutes.
