A great Norwegian writer, Henrik Ibsen often said:
Eternally owned is only that which is lost forever. 
(probably a bad translation on my part, though)
Taiko is wonderful to both hear and see.
An American Taiko enthusiast once told me that traditions have it it is the
Shinto spirit (kami) of the drum that gives it its sound. The deep booming sound
of the drum
is a very harmonized slow vibration, that sometimes sounds like a voice, so I
very well believe that.
