A saying I have used for a long time fell into place with your post ..
thank you Xan ..

"The Mind cannot change itself ..
so how do you think you can change your mind"

The mind (brain) conscious thinking creating organism is made up of the
same stuff as the
rest of the body .. and carried the DNA imprint in every cell.

The mind is changing at the moment .. this can be seen in society and
medicine ..
not due to conscious thought ..
but due to the unconscious thought .. the unconscious mind ..
that 90% of the brain we don't use ..
the cellular memory which lies in every cell of the body ... ...
including the brain... below our self-denial threshold

While we still have our cognitave faculties,
the only way the thinking brain can effect the change is by recognising
its life support system .. the body
and changing the cell consciousness of that part of the mind ..
thus clearing the unconscious ...

This requires an act of mental will

to overcome the genetic imprinting within the survival reflex
(Chromosome 38 in our cellular memory bank)
that says that "God is outside" .. a myth promulgated
by the societies and religions of both East and West ...
and 'enforced' by persecuting all who did not believe their dogma
or at the very least removing survival support (the daily bread)

So, by addressing the survival needs of the life support system for the mind,
the mind can be allowed to be changed ...
by removing the (unconscious) self-limiting deception imposed by organised
religions.

then and only then can there be at-one-ment between
the conscious and unconscious minds ..
which is en-lighten-ment
as the unconscious beliefs are brought to the light of daily consciousness.

Thank you for assisting me in putting all of this together ..
the words around it are still coming .. but, Xan, you might care to
comment to me on how you feel (body kinaesthetic reaction)_ this
sits with you

Christopher Wynter

ps thank you Harsh for creating the issue with onelist
so that Xan's post would be the first to come through this morning

I'm still trying to word that which is beyond words ...

it's like the
Kevala Nirvikalpa you wrote about ...
the mind loses mindfulness
because there is nothing in the mind
to be mindful of.
