Default Yoga Characterization - Karma, Jnana and Bhakti, Are they different? - 10-17-1999, 12:29 PM

Hari Om!

This is a late reply to your question and forgive me for the delay.

I never said that Yogas are chosen by sadhakas but for the onlookers, it
may appear as though they have chosen! Bhakti can spring forth from a
Bhakta quite naturally when he/she is ready! Shadakas become ready only
after sadhana. A language such as Sanskrit can become natural to a
person when he/she become well trained in Sanskrit. In the beginning,
we are not natural drivers but after several lessons, driving can become
natural!

There is a famous saying, "90 % perspiration and 10% inspiration."

Hari Om!

I have a question in this context. Do you mean to say Bhakti
Yoga
and Jnana Yoga are chosen by sadhakas? (i.e. is there a choice!) I
heard
that Bhakti is some thing that springs forth in you naturally! Please
explain. Thanks.

Regards,
Madhava
