dear friend mechumla
thank you for giving three references.
reference 1 of you speaks about no asteriod between mercury and
venus which means no planetary or asteriod formation of ketu.
reference 2 of you speaks about how asteriods are formed which are
leftover miniscule pieces of a past existing planet (of which planet
no one is aware of) and also their insignificance even if all of
them are collected and joined together as a planet.
reference 3 of you speaks of an existence of such asteriods between
mars and jupiter and hence the possibility of these miniscule
physical asteriods related to rahu. however, these this is still
not sound logic enough considering the second largest number of 18
years under vimshottari accorded to rahu.
since rahu and ketu are enjoying equal status like all other planets
with equal stars allocated to them and rahu giving second largest
dasha and ketu giving equal dasha of mars and higher dasha of sun,
these two must be equal or larger planets and not tiny leftover
asteriods in scientific language. of course these are all doubts
from a scientific view and from mythological view, these two demons
rahu and ketu got planetary status and enjoy worship in all
navagraha poojas alongside other benefic devata planets.
with best wishes
pandit arjun
