well, they probably ate grass!
now of course cows are fed silage as well as grain, which changes the
chemical composition of the milk

one important fact is that toxins accumulate in milk in much greater
concentrations than any other tissue
in fact, the only way for a female to liberate certain toxins from her
body is to excrete them IN the milk

true, my comments were an over-generalization, written in some haste
irregardless, ii still see good evidence that milk can cause negative
effects in Indians as well
although whether this relates to the milk itself or the quality I can't
be sure

when i was in India it was possible to get fresh milk, but most now is
sold in plastic bags (which leach xenoestrogens in the milk), and in
pasteurized

i agree that goat milk is often better tolerated, and is many parts of
the world is the milk of choice for weaning
once again, fresh (from the teat) is always best
