Namaste,
Try rotating the left hand in a clockwise direction and the right hand in an
anticlockwise direction. Any moment between the left and right sides of our body
has to be in the same direction and cannot be opposite to each other for some
reason. Try any kindof body movement with a different action and you will find
it almost impossible to do. A 6 is drawn counterclockwise and your hand moves
clockwise so that cant be possible hence the problem.

Dhram,
If you draw the six starting at the end point, you can draw the six without
changing the foot movement--but this means you are moving with the direction of
your foot. Is this a thought for deeper reflection? :-)
