Default Re: Swamy NammAzhwAr Thirunakshathram & Kanchi Varadar's Garuda Sevai - 06-05-2001, 02:58 AM

Just a quick followup to Sri SatakOpan's note.

PEraruLALan's Garuda Sevai always falls on
VaikAsi VisAkam. Secondly, signifying that
the phrase amararkaL athipathi refers to
Varadarajap Perumal and since he asks that
his mind surrender to that Lord, Swami
Nammazhvar in the Kanchi Atthigiri temple
has his right hand held near his heart
("amararkaL athipathi ... thozhuthezhen
mananE").
