Namaste to all who are studying the Devi Kavacham and all those who

Here are a few notes taken from Swamiji's classes on the Chandi:

The kavach is a suit of armor. We put the vibrations of the Goddess
inside us, we fill our hearts with her vibrations. Then wherever we
go no other vibration can permeate our armor. It says in the Kavach
verse #43 "for the welfare of his or her own soul one should not take
a step out of the house without putting on the kavach."

The armor is a nyasa. Nyasa means to establish within. In various
pujas we establish mantras in our fingers and body as well. Some of
you may already be familiar with this practice in the Shiva and Durga
pujas.

Once we have placed the Goddess in various parts of our body if any
other vibration comes at us we just look inside and remember that the
Goddess resides within. Nothing can touch her and we don't have to be
influenced by any other vibration.

If one does not have much time in the morning for sadhana before
going to work, the Devi Kavacham is very beneficial to recite
and highly recommended.
