The following news broadcast was shown on the Tamil television channel "Jaya TV" on February 21, 2008. An electrician working for TNEB saw a siddha on the sacred hill of Thiruvannamalai in South India. He tried to film him with his cell phone, but the siddha suddenly flew off like a rocket.
